Lecture Series

Keystone Bouchard - RL Architect in SL™

The 'Guest Lecture Series' at Molaskeys Pub features RL professionals using SL™.

In the real world, Jon Brouchaud runs Crescendo Design , a healthy 'green design' architect firm. In the virtual world, that same Jon Brouchaud becomes Keystone Bouchard . The closeness of RL SL surname must be a test of attentiveness. It's all in the details. He easily intertwines SL and RL. In Second Life®, Keystone is credited for building several noteworthy 'virtual world structures', including U.S. Capitol Hill, which he and Kiwini Oe of Clear Ink worked collaboratively.

Keystone is featured in 'The Unofficial Guide to Building Your Business in the Second Life Virtual World ' and is a friend to many talented builders, educators, designers and architects around Second Life. We look forward to having him to the stage to share his experiences and insight with you.

Anyone with an interest in architecture, real or virtual, will find this lecture 'one for the pages'. Don't miss this opportunity to engage in conversation with a 'Metaverse Bricklayer'.

Molaskey's is proud to welcome noted Second Life® conceptual designer and architect, Scope Cleaver to the Pub. Scope will be the first of many professionals using Second Life to appear as a guest in this new series at Molaskey's Pub. He will discuss his Second Life® work and share many valuable experiences.  This maiden event will be held on Wednesday, January 21, 2009 on the Bonfire Beach Bandshell Stage.

Scope's company is SCDA (Scope Cleaver Designer and Architect). He is credited with several major 3D installations around Second Life®, including Princeton University Gallery of the Arts, Princeton University Alexander Beach, and several commercial and residential projects. When I interviewed Persis Trilling of Princeton University for our book, 'The Unofficial Guide to Building Your Business in the Second Life® Virtual World", she cited Scope Cleaver as being "one of the best builders in Second Life®". Not many will dispute that.

Scope will present to an audience in a 'town hall' manner, offering his personal insight, professional advice and perhaps some inspiration. The audience will have the opportunity for Q&A, using type-chat, with this very special guest.

This date will go down in history not only for how we are establishing a strong foundation for a new event at Molaskey's Pub, by featuring one of Second Life's most exciting builders, but also for the inauguration of the most exciting new U.S. Presidents in modern times, Barak Obama. Both events on that date represent a good start to a promising new year.

Please join us on Tuesday, January 20, 2009 at 6pSLT for the chance to become familliar with one of many professionals in Second Life®, Scope Cleaver.
