The Live Music Scene in Second Life

Those on the virtual world music scene get to experience the talent and passion of 'Second Life' musicians in multi-dimensional way. The rhythm that gets our blood pumping often accompanies lyrics that surprise us. The performer and audience chat make us laugh-out-loud and give us reason to gather again and again. The live music scene in 'Second Life' is an interactive experience like no other.

In this global community, there's likely a performance of some kind happening somewhere in every time zone. They're fun to attend. Like many devoted attendees, you can be at a show in Second Life, playing the music through your speakers, while you go about your real life. Or, like most attendees, stay and chat. This is evolutionary to just turning on PBS 'Great Performances' , 'Austin City Limits' or an MTV 'Unplugged' session on television. When you attend a Live Music event at Molaskey's Pub in 'Second Life', you are actually at the show.

The 'Second Life' music scene provides an intimate music session and entirely unique experience. In between songs, the musicians interact with the audience and friends they see.  Attending several great, one-hour shows is a great way to adapt to a  'global lifestyle' and  is the utmost in cool.

You'll find original 'Second Life' jingles bound for commercial success. Musicians will often work an avatar's name into their song to the audience's delight. These cyber-concerts have been gaining a loyal and diverse following. With each of the talented performers, you see, hear and sense the excitement.

Musicians are booked on venue calendars, like Molaskey's, for months. They pack nearly every show to sim-capacity. For many, the concerts at Molaskey's Pub have become a favorite 'Second Life' destination.

Go to the Social/Multimedia section of this site and see 'Pub News' for links to the many featured musicians at Molaskey's Pub.
