Molaskey's Pub Begins Weekly Backgammon & Chess Tournament

Let the Games Begin.

The first ever Backgammon tourney started at Molaskey's Pub at 8:50pm with two players. McHarry 'Captain' Hax faced off against Jimpsky Rhode to compete for the $500L prize and the coveted "Molaskey's Champion" title. Both accomplished backgammon players, the games were very well played. Jimpsky won the first game after which the players moved to the new Lamorna table, which features a doubling cube. The doubling cube adds an exciting element to the game where players can up the stakes and increase the potential points won for each game. The second game began at 9:08pm with the Captain taking the point. With both players tied they went into the final game at 9:18pm. The third game proved to be quite intense and well played with Jimpsky finally winning at 10:10pm. Congratulations to both players and to Jimpsky for taking this weeks title.

Friedrisch Swindlehurst arrived at the tournament near the end looking for a chess challenger. Hopefully next week someone will be willing to face off against this chess master to compete for the Chess Champion title and the prize money.
