FunkyFreddy Republic rocks the Bonfire Beach stage at Molaskey's Pub, Thursday, July 7th at 6:00pm SLT! In RL Freddy is the guitarist for Neighbors + Allies, one of David Bowie's favorite NY bands in the 1980s. FF has composed music for Sesame Street, PBS, and has worked with musicians such as Jeff Buckley, Pete Shelly, Deee-Lite, and mixed artists such as Joni Mitchell and Johnny Cash over the course of his long and varied career. Influences include Beatles, Miles Davis, Buffalo Springfield, Pink Floyd, King Crimson, Charles Mingus, Jimi Hendrix, Neil Young, Joni Mitchell, Radiohead, Stravinsky, Patti Griffin, Brian Eno, Wire, Talking Heads, Sun Ra, Frank Zappa, and more.
