Carmel Daines | Live Music

Molaskey's Pub welcomes Carmel Daines to our stage on Monday, July 12th at 7:00 pm, SLT. Carmel's been writing and singing since she was a child, the product of a musical environment that included a father that played mutliple instruments and played professionally, a mother that trained in opera and performed with big bands in the U. S. Navy in the 1940's (that's how Mom and Dad met) and sisters who wrote, sang and performed in coffee houses in the 1960's. Carmel carries those influences and her laid back musical style into Second Life. Her singing style and voice have been compared to Eva Cassidy, Nanci Griffith, Emmylou Harris, Stevie Nicks and Natalie Merchant. In addition to her originals, you're likely to hear anything from standards from the 1930s to easy listening from the 1970's.
